Create your account

Sign up in under a minute with your phone number or email.

  1. 1Open vastel.app and tap Get Started.
  2. 2Enter your phone number or email and confirm the 6-digit OTP we send.
  3. 3Set a strong password and enable biometric login on your device.
  4. 4Pick your country (Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, EG, CAR, Congo).

Complete KYC verification

Required before buying, selling or creating cards. Takes ~90 seconds.

  1. 1From Profile → Security, tap Start verification.
  2. 2Choose your ID type: national ID, passport, or driver's licence.
  3. 3Take a clear photo of the front and back (avoid glare).
  4. 4Take a quick selfie — make sure your face is well lit.
  5. 5Confirm your address (no upload needed for Tier 1).
  6. 6Most users are approved in under 5 minutes.

How to buy crypto

Buy BTC, USDT, ETH and more with MTN or Orange Mobile Money.

  1. 1Tap Buy on the home tab.
  2. 2Select the coin and enter the amount in CFA or USD.
  3. 3Choose Mobile Money and pick MTN MoMo or Orange Money.
  4. 4Approve the push notification on your phone and enter your MoMo PIN.
  5. 5Crypto lands in your Vastel wallet within 60 seconds.
  6. 6Optional: send to an external wallet via Wallets → Withdraw.

How to sell crypto

Cash out to Mobile Money in CFA, instantly.

  1. 1Tap Sell on the home tab.
  2. 2Pick the coin and the amount you want to sell.
  3. 3Review the live CFA quote (locked for 30 seconds).
  4. 4Send the exact amount to the address shown — or sell from your in-app wallet in one tap.
  5. 5Once confirmed on-chain, your CFA is paid out to your linked MoMo.

Set up a virtual USD card

Spend globally on Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT, ads and more.

  1. 1Open the Cards tab and tap Create card.
  2. 2Choose Visa or Mastercard and set a friendly name (e.g. 'Netflix').
  3. 3Set a spending limit (per card or per transaction).
  4. 4Top up with crypto, USDT, or Mobile Money — minimum $5.
  5. 5Reveal the card number, expiry and CVV from the card details screen.
  6. 6Use it anywhere a USD card is accepted. Freeze or delete it from the same screen.

Swap between assets

Convert between BTC, USDT, ETH and more with one tap.

  1. 1Open the Swap tab.
  2. 2Pick the asset you're sending and the asset you want to receive.
  3. 3Enter an amount — Vastel shows the live rate and 0.4% fee.
  4. 4Confirm. The swap settles inside your wallet in seconds.

Stay secure

Protect your account with the security tools we provide.

  1. 1Enable two-factor authentication (Authenticator app preferred over SMS).
  2. 2Turn on biometric login on your device.
  3. 3Whitelist external withdrawal addresses you use often.
  4. 4Never share your OTP, password, or recovery phrase — Vastel will never ask.
  5. 5Review active sessions monthly under Profile → Security → Sessions.
